Late Homework is such a fun indie horror game! The atmosphere is very spooky, the game is simple yet fun to play, the art style is great and WHY ARE WE GOING TO OUR HAUNTED SCHOOL TO GET OUR HOMEWORK, THIS IS TOO SCARY JUST LEAVE. I'll definitely play the extended version in the future, but for now Here's my full gameplay of the demo! ^-^ Hope you enjoy
ONE OF THE MOST FUN games i have played, the scary factor just killed me multiple times, and it has so much potential, hopefully youll hit big over there!
and me completely loosing it
THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH AWSOME GAMES, DONT STOP!!! <3333
I really enjoyed this game, the retro vibes of horror is so good.
The next part will contain spoiler :
On a gameplay note, for the french speaking players, the puzzle in the room with the steam and the valves doesn't work, I had to switch to english to understand it.
Really loved this game! I played it along with other games for a special "horror" video 👻 (spanish) and this is the one that I liked the most!, Already bought the full version on Steam, best wishes! 😁
It seems like the game has controller support but it doesn’t seem to recognize my xbox controller, althought it’s connected through USB. I’m on Windows 11.
Any suggestions?
Nice and short game! I know this is a demo for the full game, but still done well. My only real nitpick would be the enemy's spawn point after exiting a door is a little cheap sometimes. Got caught multiple times because I couldn't turn around fast enough and died lol But besides that cool game! 👍
We've designed the unlockable outfits you get in-game to be tied to the Steam achievements you get, so if I were to upload it here, you wouldn't be able to unlock any of them.
What if you just made a seperate build that basically has like built in tracker that mimics the Steam achievements, or even a special api/dll that mimics running through Steam.
Sounds doable. It might be something I'll look into for the future. But for now, Steam will be the primary platform. I've learned before it can be incredibly difficult supporting many at the same time unfortunately
I can totally understand that. It's probably wise to focus on the steam version for the time being because of that. Supporting two different platforms at the same time sounds like a nightmare...
This game is amazing, I might of been too harsh on the game due to me raging, but looking back on it this is a really well made game that deserves the praise its getting, exited to see were this game will lead
(btw, all the times of me raging were from my own fault and not the games fault)
Excited to hear about the longer version that's coming out. We had some fun with this one even if I made some blunders. Gameplay for Late Homework starts after the 9:10 mark.
I really like this game! I think it has potential! I love old school tank control games like the old resident evil games. I can't wait to see what other games you make in the future!
I know this is a demo. But, I'm going to be honest. It's a disappointment. The controls are inversed. Plus, there's no clear instruction on how to interact with items! What do I mean by inversed control? The character turns right when I press left. Was there any reason for making the control so complicated?
This game uses tank controls. Due to the way the camera angles change while moving around in the world, this control scheme allows for the best way to maintain the same direction during a camera transition.
Think of it like this- your movement is based on which way Haneko is facing in the game. "Left" to her is not the same "left" for you, so when you want to go left, you have to assume it from her perspective.
Had a lot of fun and a lot of laughs along with this playthrough. One of my favorite parts was when the character expected a knock back on the bathroom stall. Who does that? Love the style you went with and feel like this would a mix between Animal Crossing and Silent Hill!
A masterclass in how to blend different, styles, aesthetics and tones in an organic way, at no point was I distracted by being a cat nor did it feel off or wrong, the game looked great and was a fantastic collection of old survival horror mechanics with indie horror sensibilities
The sound design, the and the way that the graphics got all glitchy when the monster got near definitely gave this a good, creepy feel. And the lack of ability to save definitely made it that much more nerve-wracking.
Besides the actual horror aspect, I'd say you pretty well captured the look and atmosphere of an oldschool horror game!
Honestly, I was scared when I first played it. But over time, I'm still scared lol. JK. The fear factor prolonged throughout the gameplay so it was still really intense for me. The graphics are unique and the sound is great. I really enjoyed it! I hope to see the next chapter.
I'm simply in love with this short horror experience! It's everything I hoped for and even more. I truly love low-poly short horror games and this one was just perfect for me :)

This game was great! I know it's gonna do great on Steam! Highly recommend playing! I love the cross between Animal Crossing and Resident Evil!
What happened to version 0.2 & 0.4?

THANK YOU FOR MAKING SUCH AWSOME GAMES, DONT STOP!!! <3333will this get a DRM-free release any time soon?
The in-game costumes are hard-coded to unlock when getting specific achievements in the full version on Steam, so probably not :>
amazing concept!!! please support me :D
Was really fun to play!

My apologies. I will have that and other languages corrected in the upcoming update on Steam. Thank you :>
Don't apologies, it's perfectly normal to have that kind of issue :D You're doing a great job !

The amount of "He is behind me...Isn't He" moment this game was crazy T-T
Hey Sodaraptor! Your retro style is really impressive! would you like to collaborate? I can cover all your sound needs.
This incredible work, amazing art. Thanks so much!

It's finicky. You may need to click on one of the buttons in the game using your mouse, then go back to gamepad

Short answer no.

Kinda like what some GOG games do.

Thank you for the effort you put into this one! This is really good title!
Love the style!
This was SO much fun. Even as someone who didn't grow up getting to play horror games in this style it felt really nostalgic and fun. I thoroughly
enjoyed myself. Really looking forward to playing again when it comes out on Steam.I got the goddamn Unity Project out of it because I want Haneko's Model (but it's obj on AssetStudio... So no armatures?)
I never saw option to rip the armature but its not a problem to make your own.
I knew it! OBJ does not support Armatures. AssetRipper (For Linux/macOS/Windows users) uses GLB to extract!
Also, I had an Idea to port this game to Linux. but i refused because Unity Hub needs chrome.
Cool looking game but walking around was annoying, couldn't even play 2 minutes of the game :/
This was a fun and pretty terrifying experience!

This game is so fun! The perfect amount of spook for me!
Waifu!
And Haneko too
this game was so adorably scary! absolutely terrifying, but adorable none the less. i loved the camera angles! here is my playthrough!
