Just finished playing through this on Steam, after hearing about it from NitroRad's review. Loved it! If you made any other retro-style survival horror games, I would buy them in a heartbeat.
Not this game but i played on of those that you did make ( The moth inside me) and it was my favourite so far! I couldnt post this as a comment under thge game tho,, either way awesome work man <3
Una oscura y sombría noche cometemos el error de visitar la escuela durante la noche sin saber de los terribles secretos con los que nos tendremos que enfrentar... ¿seremos capaces de escapar de esta con vida?☠️
For a game released in the 2020s this awakens such a feeling of nostalgia for those of us who grew up on low-poly PSX survival horror games.
I made a full playthrough from start to finish on a new channel of mine and it may be my favourite video that I've posted so far.
There's even a really fun unlockable easter egg at the end for those fans! Really enjoyed it and I'll definitely be replaying. You've got a new fan in me Sodaraptor.
Bought the game on Steam, reviewing here because steam forums are cursed. Not completed it yet, but some early thoughts:
The 'unfortunately' on the 'Made With Unity' splashscreen got a laugh. Hoo boy...
Do love the atmosphere so far. The effects and sound all work together well.
Remappable controls would have been a godsend
On a related note, turn sensitivity for the analogue stick in options; I keep accidentally running around in circles playing with an xbox controller. I feel like turning should probably have been on a separate analog stick. Haneko turns slowly, but she starts turning at the lightest input left/right, it feels like; it makes it unexpectedly difficult to move in a straight line.
The way text shows up seems to be using the 'add characters' method rather than 'show characters'; there's a number of free assets for handling this, and it would mean the text isn't constantly shifting about all the time while it's appearing
First-person/behind-cam modes getting overridden when you enter a camera transition is rather frustrating. Similarly, trying to hold y for first person and then look up/down with the right analog stick is... well, it required an uncomfortable amount of dexterity. First-person/behind could have been bound to the unused shoulder triggers and made them a great deal easier to work with.
I love this game, I'm doing a let's play on my channel rn :D it's super scary tbh, I love it! The graphics and gameplay mechanics are soo original too, like really ^^
Honestly had a ton of fun playing this! definitely will recommend for anyone. I think i might've bugged out the monster at one point. I'm a little unsure about that but definitely worth the playthrough.
Late Homework is such a fun indie horror game! The atmosphere is very spooky, the game is simple yet fun to play, the art style is great and WHY ARE WE GOING TO OUR HAUNTED SCHOOL TO GET OUR HOMEWORK, THIS IS TOO SCARY JUST LEAVE. I'll definitely play the extended version in the future, but for now Here's my full gameplay of the demo! ^-^ Hope you enjoy

Any plans on releasing the updated/expanded version on itch?
