okay, i fixed the problem with the menu and now i speak about it normally.
i like how the game starts as a cute and relaxing thing and gradually becomes darker.
last few levels were genuinely unnerving. i'm usually scared of battles in horror games, since i'm too slow to react, but considering how this game works, i knew i was safe. however the overall atmosphere was so scary... it's a peculiar experience, in a good way.
the ending was great! not too difficult to play through, in a way, desperate and effective. loved every bit of it while shaking in fear :")))
my favourite dreams are probably "learn to swim", "the edge of the world" and "late to class". despite all said, i would never play the latter again, i was in terror when i first dealed with it.
the secret dream is also lovely. it's really soothing.
overall, i'd give this game a 8,5/10. again, the hub is sometimes too tricky and it's a shame you can't save - although i think it's how it's meant to be, so no big of a deal. the atmosphere, the story and the design are amazing, so it's worth giving a try.
the menu is taking me longer to play through than the actual levels. it's really frustrating. i love the game but i can't even finish it... there're no saves and again the platforms in the menu are insufferable.
I wish that the game didn't impose its own control scheme, in a generic way. I can understand wanting to have controller plug-and-play for official Xbox and PS controllers, but for anything more generic than that, I wish I could pair the game with JoyToKey.
I really enjoyed playing through Hypnagogia. You nailed the dreamlike 90s Japan / PS1 aesthetic. Its almost like vibe of the original PS1 boot up sound, only turned into a whole game!
The influence of games like Mega Man Legends and Silent Hill are very evident too, and it made me chuckle when the rabbit I talked to said the said the same thing!
I haven't beaten the game yet... only gotte to the rainy city level so far, but I really enjoyed playing. Great work!
I love this game to absolute bits, and I originally found it around the time it came out 4 years ago. It probably doesn't mean much, but I hold this game very close to me due to the fact that I found it when I was going through a very rough time in my life. But other than that, I love this game a lot. I really hope more people find and play this game along with its newer release on Steam, as I believe it deserves so much more attention. This game is definitely worth your time.
bro i have no idea how this happen. i was playing the game as normal then i had to plug in my laptop to charge and all of a sudden the game turned widescreen with the hint icons small and the tab menu just became too big to fit in the screen
the mannequin level was so spookyyyyy omggg. i really enjoyed the whole thing tho :) especially all the silly little lines you find you talking to characters. the snowman level was a much needed break from the spookiness placed in such a convenient area :)
Excellent game, good job! I loved the atmosphere and the scenery of the dreams and I really enjoyed how they progressively became darker. Couldn't find the snow dream though and I closed the game after finishing, losing my progress :(
Wonderful PSX-style game. I loved the vibes: the music, the graphics, the writing! I also thought it was incredible how you spent 8 hours a day for 29 days working away at this game--everything in it shows!

Your wish is safe with me.
Why did I wait so long to play this? I had no idea it was going to be this good. Wonderful game all around!
A timeless classic :') Thank you!

This game was really good so I made a video about it.

when you're in the mannequin level, go through the wall right behind the mannequin you feed. hope this helps :)
Really enjoyed the visuals and the progression of the dreams. Last level visuals were fantastic. Great work!!

Great atmosphere, was great to look at! A little too linear for my taste though. And too much talking to NPC's that had nothing interesting to say.
