WOLFGUN version 0.4 - Post-Jam Bug Fixes


Hi all - pushed some minor bug fixes and improvements in WOLFGUN version 0.4.

  • Fixed issue with projectiles sometimes hitting ground when using auto-fire
  • Fixed being able to shoot while shop menu is open
  • Improved level layout and prop arrangement
  • Fixed some AI navigation issues (hopefully, thought it's still kind of janky)
  • Added some dynamic camera shake when you're hurt or a barrel explodes!

Things to come in the near future (fingers crossed we have time):

  • More mods/upgrades
  • AI and upgrade balance
  • Additional themed levels
  • Controller support*

*Most likely feature to appear than the others.

Ayyy I had to play this asap and I'm glad I did! Still satisfying to get to a point where the bullets noise cuts out from how much it's playing! xD

Yeah I noticed the jank on the zombies too, it's harder now in 0.4 to find them in earlier waves. The new spawns on the top side are really helpful, super glad you put them in - I believe big zombies get caught on the top most one though. 
The barrels are definitely more satisfying to shoot! looks like the ground and the walls shake at different rates from it? Oh I noticed you fixed the eyes on the playermodel too; I forgot to mention it last time.
I definitely think you're heading in the right direction to look into different themed levels rather than expanding on the one movie set theme. It's definitely a good theme and half of the assets are still AMAZING to me but when it comes to these mechanics it felt like the shape of the level didn't take into consideration how a player would want to move around in it - things like how players instinctively prioritize success over fun and varying content. If you ever do make more levels I really REALLY suggest a much smaller level that is far more dangerous to simply sit still inside of. Something with a lot of columns/podiums to block your shots and help zombies get closer to you maybe? Good work on fixing that blood pool off to the right and adding in that grate by the bottom btw. (I remember using rage to get over several ledges in the last iteration lol) 

I have more notes but I think I'm just being eccentric at this point xD

Again really glad to have done the same ludum dare as this game and I'm glad I played this update. Looking forward to any other stuff that gets put out for sure!
